By Air:- Ramaeswaram does not have an airport. The nearest airport is at Madurai. It is located at 174km away from this town. Madurai Airport is well connected by flights to several Indian cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai etc. Tiruchchirapalli International Airport is around 227 km away from this town.

By Railway:- Rameswaram Railway Station is located on the Rameswaram Island in the Ramnad district of Tamil Nadu. This station is belongs to the Madurai Railway Division and an important terminal of the Southern Railway Zone. This station is well connected to the several cities such as Madurai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Palakkad, Bengaluru etc.

Agni Tirtham:- Agni Tirtham is located at 100 metres away from Ramanathaswamy Temple. It is one of the most visited Tirthams of Rameswaram for a holy bath. This holy place is located towards the east of the main entrance of the Ramanathaswamy Temple and it is a suitable place for bathing. As per legend it is believed that Agnitheertham is the spot where Lord Rama offered his prayers to Lord Shiva after killing Ravana.

Adam's Bridge:- Adam's Bridge is well known as the Rama's Bridge or Rama Setu. It is a chain of limestone shoals between Pamban Island (Rameswaram Island) off the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, India and Mannar Island off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka. The believe of the people that this bridge was constructed by Lord Rama with the help of Hanuman and his Banar Sena, for rescuing his wife Goddess Sita from Ravana. Rama's Bridge is 48 km long and separates the Gulf of Mannar from the Palk Strait. It is one of the popular tourist places in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.

Jada Theertham:- Jada Theertham is located at 12 km away from Rameswaram (on the way to Dhanushkodi). It is dedicated to God Rama. It is believed that after killing the demon king Ravana, Lord Rama had washed his hair in this pond before worshiping Shivlinga in Rameswaram. The artistic work of this temple is very attractive and amazing.

Water Bird Sanctuary:- Water Bird Sanctuary is located at Kanjirankulam in Ramanathpuram district, It one of the popular destinations in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. This sanctuary has several colourful water birds. These all birds are very attractive and beautiful. This sanctuary has both native as well as migratory birds that come here for feeding and breeding respectively.
